Beatrice & Chris // Intimate Beach Elopement // San Francisco, CA
What a stylish pair these two are! Even when stuffing their faces with ice cream––how!?
From the moment I first spoke with these two, I knew their elopement was going to be one of our favorites of all time. They said, “Basically, we just want to go around to some really beautiful places in San Francisco and have you take photos of us and our family…We want to get married on the beach, but nothing too fancy!”
Little did they know, that day at Baker Beach was truly the clearest SF day and the biggest waves that I’ve ever seen on that beach.
Yes, it was quite bright from a photography perspective, but it was also sparkly and that much more special.
They were all dressed to the nines for their intimate beach wedding and I truly loved that about them. A favorite touch was when they laid out a little placemat for Chris’s velvet loafers on the sand.
Puffy sleeves and headbands are so in right now, and especially beautiful to photograph. Bea’s style was simple elegance. We love New York style on the West Coast!
We made our way to the Legion of Honor for some solo time in the iconic columns there––one of my favorite natural soft boxes to photograph in. You could wear a paper bag on your head and still look like a million bucks in that column hall!
Naturally, Lovers Lane was a next stop on our romp around the city. Those trees are forever epic!
Wrapping up in Ghirardelli Square was great because, yes, it’s a touristy location but it feels a little bit off the beaten path and just has a nice atmosphere. Especially if you’re ready for some ice cream!
We definitely recommend this little path of wedding celebration around the city! You get a little bit of everything and they’re all fairly close to each other for an easy round trip.
Congrats to beautiful Beatrice and Christopher!
